Artist Profile: Danny Rosemond

African American teenage boy with brown afro, wearing yellow ochre overalls

Dany (pronouns: he/him) is a 15-year-old transgender and African American boy living on the Eastside. He has a passion for art and often draws cartoonish figures.

Danny began to explore his gender and sexuality at the age of 11-12. He was finally able to fully discover himself at age 14 once he left his small private school and transferred to a larger, much more accepting public school.

Now, Danny has multiple transgender, gay, and queer friends to relate to. He has finally found a place where he felt at home.
