Artist Profile: Shiloh Zegoski

Pronouns: They/Them

Shiloh Zegoski is a 25 year old non-binary trans masculine individual currently residing in Redmond, WA. Drawing a variety of animals, mostly canines, is their specialty.

I have been living in Washington state now for the past year and it has been a lovely experience so far. I am originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota- a city similar to a small Chicago and unfortunately home to the passing of George Floyd. This is another factor along with my art that I am passionate about- social justice. I hope I can incorporate the two in the future.

“It’s Okay to Wait”

I painted this for those whom feel safer to stay “in the closet” or to not come out as LGBTQ+ to their loved ones yet. I waited many years and had to strip away a lot of societal fears pressed upon me within my family, school, etc. Just know that when the time comes, there will be a beautiful community here for you with open arms.
